Let R be the set of all real numbers. A function f : R→R is defined by f(x) = x^2-6x+5. a) is the function one-to-one? b) is the function onto? prove your answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not one-one as it is a quadratic equation....it is not onto as it has least value at x=3 and does not cover all real numbers in its range
