Anyone willing to show me how to do this step by step? I'm not that very bright in my head. Please? Pretty Please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the first one, dealing with square/cube roots is hard. so if you cube one side of the equation it will make it easier. but once you cube one side, you have to cube the other side as well. and after that you just solve for x. hope that helps

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

cuberoot(3x-1)=2 both sides need cubed

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

@joshi continue please you are right

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

yes my birth country is Romania but now i live in capital of Hungary ,Budapest so yes on this picture so this was when i was on military statuse there ,on military navy on the Black Sea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so lets look at one side seperately first. cubing, cuberoot (3x-1) is the same as saying cuberoot(3x-1) times cuberoot (3x-1) times cuberoot (3x-1), right? so we get cuberoot (3x-1) (3x-1) (3x-1) [we just wrote them inside one cuberoot] so now we have 3 (3x-1)'s inside a cuberoot? so that's the same as cuberoot(3x-1) ^3 so basically you're cubing and cuberooting the same thing. so they cancel. right? so it would just be (3x-1) now for the other side, we have 2. we also have to cube this now. so, 2x2x2 = 8 now putting the two sides together, we have (3x-1) = 8 hope that made sense :)

@charlotteakina thank you for your words so after thsese from me ,can i know anything from you too - because on your profile not is to much from you ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

@charlotteakina can you continue please what have wrote before @joshi ,this is right sure ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh really? glad it helped! yay thats cool i like animals too :D i can count till 10 in arabic! arrivederci

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i wanted you to try that out first. you can figure this out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah that's right! good job!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem. ok for this one it's the same type of question except theres a square root instead of a cube root. so give it a try.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok do this: sqaure root of x = 16 find x.

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

@charlotteakina do you have again anything what you not can understanding ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

here

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

????

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

how in what exercise ,question please ?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

ok good luck bye hope so much you will can traviling anytime in Hungary for you can realising your dreams to see it
