what is a vertical line test and how do you find if the graph is a function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if a graph is a function then when you draw a vertical line any where on the graph that line will intersect the graph at only one point. this is called vertical line test

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kde123 did you got it its an extremely important concept

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do i conect all the points which point do i go through to see if it goes only through one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean by connect all the points???

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is points on the graph and there asking me if it is a function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so its easy put a vertical line on any of the points if the line intersect another point on the same graph so its not a function but if this vertical line passes through one and one point only then its a function

|dw:1349378282191:dw| Our function is not a function XD hah that's funny the way i said that :3
