OpenStudy (kmullis6):

Which set of three segments can form a triangle? a) 7, 12, 5 b) 6, 4, 11 c) 13, 6, 6 d) 8, 2, 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a and d

OpenStudy (kmullis6):

it can only be one.. /:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(a) 7 + 12 > 5, 7 + 5 = 12 ==> 7, 12, and 5 does NOT form a triangle (b) 6 + 4 < 11 ==> 6, 4, and 11 does NOT form a triangle (c) 13 + 6 > 6, 6 + 6 < 13 ==> 13, 6, and 6 does NOT form a triangle (d) 8 + 2 > 8, 2 + 8 > 8, and 8 + 8 > 2 ==> 8, 2, and 8 DOES form a triangle. Therefore, the answer is (d) 8, 2, 8.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops sorry, its just d :)

OpenStudy (kmullis6):

it's ok. thank you (:
