if an object is traveling at a constant velocity and we know the force being applied is 50N what is the magnitude of the opposing force?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

50N.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how? or why is it 50N? @some1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because in order for the object to move it needs to be 50N, and to make it faster it needs to be greater than 50N. So if you keep the object at 50N, it will have constant velocity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so because it has a constant velocity it stays the same ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

other way around, because it stays the same it has constant velocity

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you
