What is the difference between f(g(x)) and f(g)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first one is if you had 2 equations F(x) and G(x). Everytime you have an x in the F(x) equation you plug in the whole equation of g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(g) is if they give you a value of G you just plug it into the f(x) formula

Example) F(x)=x+5 G(x)=2x+1 F(g(x)) would be (2x+1)+5
