you are trying to get x by itself. first add the -2 to the right side of the equation (-5.5-4.2+2=-4.4x) next you divide the entire side by -4.4 ((-5.5-4.2+2)/4=x) then you determine the numbers section of the equation (-1.925=x)

Could you do the process plz

-4.4x-2=-5.5-4.2 +2 +2 -4.4x=-5.5-4.2+2 /(divide) -4.4 /-4.4 x=(-5.5-4.2+2) /4 subtract 4.2 from -5.5=-9.7 add 2 (-9.7+2)=-7.7 divide by 4 (-7.7/4=-1.925) x=-1.925
