What can be increased in order to increase the magnetic field?

sounds like multiple choice. What are the choices? recall, a magnetic field is a function of electric current that makes it, and some medium (with a magnetic permeability) that magnifies it.
They're: The size of the iron core The magnetic poles The wire resistance The current I'm not trying to get someone to do it for me, science just doesn't click in my mind.

well the current is the answer. When electrons flow in a wire, they make a magnetic field around the wire that is proportional to the current. i.e. double the current, double the magnetic field intensity.
