Where am I going wrong with this integral...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{}^{}\csc^4xcot^4x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{}^{}(1+\cot^2x)\cot^4xcsc^4x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[\int\limits_{}^{}\csc^2xcot^4x+\int\limits_{}^{}\cot^6xcsc^2x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am assuming the second one is the correct integral? (-1/315)(-14cos2x+cos4x+48)cot^5xcsc^4x+C

OpenStudy (anonymous):

final answer i get is \[\frac{ 1 }{ 5 } \cot^5x+\frac{ 1 }{ 7 }\cot^7x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

back of the book is that same answer multiplied by -1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which of the integrals are you evaluating? you have 3 different equations posted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, I sort of just posted my progression through the problem. All three of those integrals are equivalent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 and 2 are not equivalent

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Correct that was mistyped, however the second two should be fine
