*SOLVED*

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

y + 3x = 6 Solving this equation gives u y+3x-3x=-3x+6 y=-3x+6 This is of the form y=mx+c m-slope c-y_intercept. So slope of the given line =-3 For parallel lines the slopes are equal. So slope m_1 of line l=-3 Let the equation of line l be y=m_1x+c Put 2 in place of y, 5 in place of x and -3 in place of m_1 in the equation y=m_1x+c and solve for c. Can u do that @KNYEU?

OpenStudy (swag):

wow good job

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-3x+17, thanks @ajprincess
