need help solve it for me please my test is almost over! Angle W and angle X are congruent. If their sum is 121 degrees, what is the measure of angle X?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Angle W and angle X are congruent means Angle W=angle X Angle W+angle X=121 Try solving nw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

11 +11?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean x

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Angle W+angle X=121 Since Angle W=angle X angle X+angle X=121 2angle X=121

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk ? :O

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Divide by 2 both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

60.5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks girl

OpenStudy (amorfide):

just to clear things up, princess was stating that because they are congruent, the angles are equal, this means you have 2 of the same angle, therefore you can make an algebraic equation of some sort 2x=121 x=121/2 x=60.5
