OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

A college plays 12 football games during a season. In how many ways can the team end the season with 7 win, 3 losses and 2 ties?

hartnn (hartnn):

i think its 12!/(7!3!2!)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

no idea what it is @sauravshakya

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

but how did you get those numbers @sauravshakya and @hartnn

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is 12C7*(12-7)C3 = 12C7*5C3=7920

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same as @hartnn got.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i wonder when someone wll actually explain something....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its like choosing 7 teams from the 12 teams against which we win.... and from the remaining 5 teams we choose 3 teams against which we lose and from the remaining 2 teams we choose two teams against which we play tie.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

teamSSSS? isn't there only one team?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same thing: Replace teams with games

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yes. that does make sense
