OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

How many ways can 3 oaks, 4 pines, 2 maples be arranged along a property line if one does not distinguish between trees of the same kind?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

if there is no distinguishment between the trees..won't it just be 9!?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i might add, divided by 3!4!2!

Parth (parthkohli):

Yeah, but I don't understand what "one does not distinguish between trees of the same kind" means. :|

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

why so? @Ishaan94 ? doesn't "one does not distinguish between trees of the same kind" mean that they're all counted as the same?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It means, Maple_1 Maple_2 or Maple_2 Maple_1 is same arrangement.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

is that so...thanks
