Solve the following inequality. | y + 2 | > 6 y> or y < those y are part of the answer i am missing to numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y+2 >6 y>4 y+2<-6 y<-8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first one start with \[y+2>6\] solve for \(y\) by subtracting 2 and get \(y>2\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

second one is \(y+2<-6\) again subtract 2 and get \(y<-8\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):
