Find the zeros of the function. f(x) = 9x^3 - 45x^2 + 36x

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

first find the GCF can u do that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nevermind, I got it, thanks though!

OpenStudy (amorfide):

you can take out the highest factor, which is 9x this gives us 9x(x²-5x+4) factorise x²-5x+4 (x-1)(x-4) so we have 9x(x-1)(x-4) x=0 , x=1, x=4

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

that is the greatest common factor GCF of 9,36 and 45 = 3 GCF of x,x^2 and x^3 = x so its 3x now we can start t o factor

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

ooppps yes its 9x

OpenStudy (amorfide):

we all make mistakes! <3
