What are the solutions of the inequality? 12x – 3x + 11 > 4x – (17 – 9x)

Treatit like a regular algebra problem. Simplify the equation and solve for x \[12x – 3x + 11 > 4x – (17 – 9x) => 9x +11 > 5x -17\] \[9x -5x > -11 -17\] \[4x > -28\] \[x>-7\] The only difference in inequalities, other than the obvious, is that when you multiple (or divide) by a negative, the sign chances (from greater than to less than or vice versa)
