Quick question and easy?! During Reconstruction, Southern agriculture focused on cotton and tobacco. or became diverse.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I narrowed it down to those two but I'm not sure :/

Became diverse. Instead of having slaves to toil in the fields, they now had to rely on hired workers or sharecroppers. A good number of Africans remain in the area to do share cropping.

Up to prior Reconstruction, the focus was with tobacco and cotton. Cotton, in particular, was a area of great focus since the cotton gin's invention.
