Suppose your 1140kg sports car has a 280hp engine that's 40% efficient. (That is, 40% of the 280hp can be converted into the car's motion.) Find the car's maximum speed after accelerating from rest for 3.1s . So far I think the formula is v= P/F but the only thing throwing me of is the percentage of efficiency. Any help would be great. Thanks!

efficiency indicates in this case that out of maximum power (280 hp) only its 40% can be utilized..substitute the utilized power in the formula..can yo do it now?

OMG!! That simple... lol WOW. Ok, thanks.
