How do you enter multiple lines of code before executing the program? I am writing the scripts in "Idle", is this correct?

try going File -->New Window and write ur code there.
then save it as name.py and run it.
you can run it by pressing f5 aswell.

Just like MicroBot said, but in the new window rewrite or copy your code (without ">>>"). Save it with the extension .py and run it.
