Ramesh wanted to take out some money using his elder brother Suresh’s ATM card, to buy a gift for his girlfriend. Suresh always made fun of his little brother’s intelligence and told him that he had to decipher a code to know the 4 digit ATM PIN. When Ramesh asked for the code he said “my code is CAKE and 3 EGG is equivalent to one CAKE”. What is Suresh's ATM PIN?
thanks a million
please check answer is 0001
The pin is either going to be 1000 or 0001. You can not determine which one it is from the question alone as addition goes both ways.
oh ok
is it 100% correct...i dint get the logic...y assume y=0?...and the question says 3EGG=1CAKE....wheres the equation from?
I made up the equation to model the situation. The only way 1 cake is equal to 1 cake is if there are no eggs. You just have to assume that there are no eggs. Hence y=0.
its not said 1cake = 1cake...he says = my code is CAKE, (pause) and 3EGG=1CAKE
@neha.sharma8724 are you sure answer is 0001...? whats logic?
how can 1(cake)+3(egg)=1 cake? its not given in question. instead given is 1 (cake)=3(egg)
“my code is CAKE and 3 EGG is equivalent to one CAKE” The answer is based on how you interpret the question. My code is, Cake and 3 Egg is equivalent to one CAKE or My code is Cake, and 3 Egg is equivalent to one CAKE. The sentence is not clearly stated.
