An object is thrown upward from the top of a 48-foot building with an initial velocity of 32 feet per second. The height of the object after t seconds is by -16t^2+32t+48. Factor this polynomial
negative 16?
(-16t+48)(t+1)
that is not the right answer its say
What?
it tells me that is not right answer
A computer? If the first coefficient is negative, the answer I gave you is right.
my homework is website called Course Compass and I wrote the answer extacly how you put it in here and it told me it was wrong
I don't know what to do, then. If you don't believe my answer, use foil to expand it. Maybe the site wants you to factor the negative out and/or switch the factors?
I believe you that is the answer........ I just don't know how they want it written
Just keep on trying...who knows, maybe the site's misbehaving?
I'm doing a different one right now........... -16t^2+48t+160.... it's exactly like the last one
use 80 and 2 as your factor of 160
