Use of renewable sources of energy like Solar energy for various household purposes like cooking, boiling water , etc.
maybe use of wind energy......hydroelectric power can be used by building dams where there is river near the village....

That solar energy is an applicable idea for "deserts" but : hydroelectric and wind are not as that is desert.

conserve energy just means that we should reduce the energy consumption as much as possible (of non-renewable sources) so that they don't become extinct in near future....and to use renewable or infinite source of energy like solar, wind, tidal.....
