don't like this problem... i get 2 possible answers, 9.5 or 8.5
obviously the one they are looking for is 8.5

-they should not have put the 30 degrees in there :|

anyway, you can solve for HF using pythagorean thm
25^2 - 24^2 = 49
HF = 7

since H is incenter....HD is 7 as well
then use pythagorean thm again
BD^2 + 49 = 121

BD = sqrt(72) = 8.5
