Hey

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey so lets get started

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok what do you want to do i already started the assignment like so far i have the inequality explanation down now im working on answering the question and providing examples for it we need at least 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Why must you flip the inequality symbol when you divide by a negative number? This is the question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You must reverse the sense of inequality because, in essence, you're taking the opposite of both sides. In order to more properly show this, here's an example. 3>2 Three is greater than two. True statement, right? Multiply both sides by -1 -3>-2 The statement is no longer true. In order to keep the equation true, you must flip the inequality. As in -3<-2 Now, the statement is true again.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so more less if you do not flip the inequalilty sign the statement will not make sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thats the same thing i wrote already in the project lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Bu now we need 2 more examples for it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok ummm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ex. 1 6 > 4 multiply -1 to both sides -6 > -4 but the equation still doesnt make sense so you flip the inequality sign -6 < -4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ex. 2 -3 < 2 Multiply both sides by -1 3 < -2 the equation still makes no sense so flip the inequality sign 3 > -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whats next??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

next is the refelction so this part is answering the questions from both of us so this part we have to do on our own so i will do my part then i will send you the document onto your email and you will finish it off send it back to my email and both of us will submit it
