In the Book of Mice and Men I need to write a thesis statement on how Curley's wife could have been misinterpreted in the book. All I need is a couple more support. So far I have that all we know about her is stuff told from the workers and that at the time period of the story women were expected to fill the role of a lovely wife who stays at home all day.

That is not all we know about her. She was lonely. She wanted someone... anyone... to talk to her. She and Curly clashed. He treated her badly and she had to take it. But it made her bitter and defiant. That is why she insisted on talking to Lennie. She knew she was not supposed to, but did it to spite Curly.
