The sum of three consecutive even integers is 120. Find the largest of the three integers. I get 56.66 i am stuck!!!!
how did you get that answer?
It is very important to recognize wrong solutions. Is 56.66 an integer?
i got 39 now i am pretty sad huh lol
120= x + (x+2) + (x+4) is the equation to use to solve this problem. Do you understand how I got that? And z must be an even integer, of course.
so the 3 intergers are 39 40 41?
Is 39 and even integer?
ok defining variable time let "x" be equal to the largest even number now for even consecutive numbers, the even number that comes before x would be x-2 and the even number that comes before x-2 would be x-4 add "x" "x-2" and "x-4" up and the sum of those are equal to 120 now solve for x
42?
38+40+42= 120
You have won the cigar!. Yes.
thank you so much for your guys help!! i struggle so bad at math.
