Calculus HEELP! find dy/dx using logarithmic differentiation y= (x+1)(x+2)/(x-1)(x-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u know if i find ln of (x+1) and (x+2) or do i multiply them 1St?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm it doesn't really matter. If you DON'T combine them now, it'll end up very similar to the way we did the last one :3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i do multiply 1st?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Mmmmm i would not multiply them out :D I think it'll be a lil easier, i dunno :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so take ln of both?

zepdrix (zepdrix):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so do i ? :l

kay thanks so much!
