this question is referring to the midsegment. If m<1= 62, then m<7 = _______?

hartnn (hartnn):

any diagram ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait :)

hartnn (hartnn):

waiting...

hartnn (hartnn):

can u prove CO is parallel to BU ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CT = RU TO= BR

OpenStudy (anonymous):

according to my teacher. the segment that is not connected to them is the parallel of that segment.

hartnn (hartnn):

i m not sure that i got u , but since you can prove CO is parallel to BU then angle 1 and 7 form corresponding angles and are equal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how about m<4 = 37 then m<8 =?

hartnn (hartnn):

they are alternate angles, hence equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so there would be no solutions?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the answer for m<1 = 62 then m<7= 62? @hartnn

hartnn (hartnn):

yes.

hartnn (hartnn):

see this reference for angles in parallel lines http://www.mathsisfun.com/geometry/corresponding-angles.html
