Help on percent problems... How does one go about solving problems where the question is looming for a percent of something else? Ex. A baseball player hit 48 home runs last season. So far he has hit 30 this season. The number of Home Runs he Has hit this season is what percent of how many he hit last season?

OpenStudy (amorfide):

if you think of a percentage it is out of 100 if you think of 48 as the highest possible percent, then you are going to have a fraction out of 48 so you will do how many home runs he has hit divided by the amount he hit last season, then to make it a percentage you must multiply by 100

okay, that makes sense now...
