plz plz plz help

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Notice how L is (-7,-2) and it turns into L' (-2,7) In general, if you have (x,y) and it turns into (y,-x), then you have a 90 degree clockwise rotation about the origin (0,0) So you're rotating the entire figure 90 degrees clockwise

OpenStudy (anonymous):

otation of 90 degrees counterclockwise about the origin rotation of 270 degrees counterclockwise about the origin reflection across the x-axis reflection across the line of symmetry of the figure

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

well if you rotate something 90 degrees CW, then that's the same as rotating it 270 degrees CCW

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so it will be A

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it is B

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

it is B

ABCDEF is congruent to PQRSTU in the figure below. They represent the bases of two fountains. If the total length of the brick edge for each fountain is 110 feet, what is the length of side UP?

You are a genius thanks for helping on the first one

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

Hint: the polygons are congruent, so by CPCTC, UP = AF So your first task is to find AF. You can do this by letting x = AF and noticing that x + 15 + 18 + 22 + 22 + 18 = 110 (since the perimeter of each polygon is 110) Solve that for x to find AF. This will be your answer for UP as well
