Whoa. Well. A paragraph proof is just like any other paragraph except that it's written for and by mathematicians: it develops a point like a thesis statement. You need to memorize the rules and learn to be a careful examiner of geometric figures. You need to practice each concept till you've got, if you're as far behind as you say; geometry is a very cumulative subject. I think I'll just show you the solution to this proof.

Rule: if two angles A and B are supplementary, mA+mB=180. Complementary angles are similar, but their sum is 90. To remember that, just keep in mind that "c" comes before "s" just as "90" precedes "180".
Postulate: if A+B=C and D+E=C, A+B=D+E. Makes sense, right?
Rule: Congruent angles have the same measure.

A and b are 180, c is the equality postulate (dear to the heart of Euclid) and d is measure of angle three, Be warned that this is only the beginning: eventually you might encounter proofs which require ten minutes just to write.
