PLEASE HELP! A student diluted copper(II) sulphate pentahydrate stock solution by placing 1 mL sample in 24 mL of dH20. Was futher diluted by placing 2 mL of the copper (II)sulphate pentahydrate into 8mL of dH20. Lastly 3 mL of the sample was added to 12 mL of dH20. What is the total dilution factor?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first dilution factor was 25 fold (1ml stock solution in a total of 25ml), then the next was 5 fold (2ml in a total of 10ml) then the next was was 5 fold (3 ml in a total of 15ml). Multiply these together for the overall - I can check it if you like? Best wishes
