HELP????!!!!!!!!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a rock occupies a volume of 20cm 3and has a mass of 54grams. find the density of this rock

OpenStudy (aaronq):

density = mass/volume

OpenStudy (aaronq):

if thats not clear enough, then idk

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you explain this clear to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3240g?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

density is a measurement of how "thick/viscous" something is, basically how "solid" it is. density is defined as a certain mass in a certain volume.. so you have a liquid that weighs 1 kilogram, in a vessel that is 1 L .. density=1kg/1L = 1kg/L /.. one kilogram per litter

OpenStudy (aaronq):

how in the world did you get 3240g? lol

OpenStudy (aaronq):

you should end up with a value in the units of g/L/.. grams per litter

OpenStudy (aaronq):

did you get it?
