well for one, the computer won't start up. Is that a symptom?
OpenStudy (espex):
That can be a symptom of a bad drive. If you disconnect all peripherals from the motherboard, not counting expansion cards, and the computer will still not boot, then you could have a bad motherboard or a bad expansion card. Ultimately you can remove everything except the video card and see if it will boot, if not, remove the video and see if it will post.
