A student heats a test tube containing a large amount of protien and biuret reagent. she notices a color change from violet to blue. explain why

It's been a while since I did this experiement in chemisty so you might want to double check my answer but I think its because when ever you are heating up a protein you are denaturing it, and therefore causing the Biuret reagent to go back to its natural color.
