Which of the following stated that the punishment for a freeman or merchant could not take away his means of making a living? A. Magna Carta B. Parliament Acts C. English common law D. English Bill of Rights *** My answer: A. Magna Carta but i'm not 100% sure.... am i right?? :O
hmm A and D kinda sound the same
idk tho :(
i feel like it is magna carta tho.... what do u think? :O
cuz this is the definition of english bill of rights, right?? Restricted the powers of the king; Guaranteed certain rights and liberties to the people; Established England as a constitutional monarchy and that doesn't include " punishment for a freeman or merchant could not take away his means of making a living" what do you think?? :D
i'm looking up the magna carta
okay :) message me when ur back? :)
i think it's the magna carta too because I'm reading "In particular, the third statute, of 1354, redefined clause 29, with 'free man' becoming "no man, of whatever estate or condition he may be", and introduced the phrase "due process of law" for 'lawful judgement of his peers or the law of the land" but i'm not sure
oh okay, i will just go with magna carta then :) thank youuuu :D
