difference between accuracy and precision ? i dont seem to get the difference.. plz give quick explantion
my notes has : Accuracy refers to the closeness of a measurement to the true or accepted value. An electronic balance that is often calibrated with a standard mass will measure mass more accurately than an old, triple beam balance that has been dropped several times over the years. Precision refers to the agreement among a set of measurements made of the same quantity in the same way. This is a question of repeatability or consistency: are the measurements consistent when taken more than once?
Accuracy means getting a result that is close to the real answer. Precision means getting a similar result every time you try. Think of shooting at a target: Being accurate means you hit the bull's eye. Being precise means hitting the same spot on the target every time.
oh accuracy refers to single time measurement, we get close or not
precision refers to repeated measurements, we get close each time or not
?
accuracy and percision are like (can and may), (listen and hearing)...
You are correct. Here a little tips. You can think precision as being consistent.
if i get the same measurement each time, but even if it is wrong, then i can say precision is good ?
However, when you repeated your measurement, is the value close to each other?
yes i get it thank you so sooo much xD
Your welcome. :)
