Draw two vertical lines for x=a and x=b where 0<a<b, you don’t need to do anything to scale.
Draw a line between the point where the line x=a crosses the function U(x) and the point where the line x=b crosses the function U(x).
write down a function y=δ(x-a)+μ to describe this line? i.e. find the gradient δ and intercept μ (at x=a) for the line?
What can you say about the relationship between the line & the curve U(x)? express this as an inequality
