-5t^2 + 2t^2 + 3t +t - 7 + 4 -3t^2 +4t -3

i am supposed to work out whats in parenthesis first but there are no like terms That makes it easy. just take away the parens

OpenStudy (phi):

It would be a little more work for \[ (-5t^2 + 3t - 7)-(2t^2 +t + 4)\] where you would have to distribute the minus 1 in front of the 2nd parens

ok thank-you!! not sure why that wasn't the first thing i saw i should have known how to do that aha =p but thanks again! =)
