i notice users can report their own testimonials...is this intentional?

With reference to testimonials left by others on your page, sometimes people leave abusive things so yes, you can report abuse on those. As for reporting abuse on one's self, it does happen every so often. Whether someone is testing the system, making a point, wants something deleted or genuinely wishes to be warned for an inappropriate post - we smile when we see it.
