is pregnancy positive or negative feedback?
It goes both way, positive if the couples are at a certain age after years and years of a long date. Negative if they are not ready, or inner-couple problems, or under the age of limit of 18. There's a lot more, but it's all in the common sense.
If by pregnaancy you mean when a woman actually goes into labor and begins to have contractions then it is a form of positive feedback. When the cervix is stretched by the baby's head (receptor) it triggers oxytocin to be released which will actually INCREASE the contractions, allowing them to become more frequent. It isnt until the baby is actually born when the body begins to return to homeostasis.
@Sehhykota feedback of ?
If you mean in homeostasis...my first thought is negative. Rarely, is there a positive feedback because that means the sort of original state of something is improved. I can't see how a women's health is in a better state of homeostasis..
If you are talking about what I said (as in her actually going through labor and having contractions) then I am 100% POSITIVE that it IS positive feedback. We just went over this in A&P..and in order for the baby to be born there needs to be MORE contractions not LESS...
Butler is right positive feedback is very rare, but during labor IS one of the few times that our body uses this form of feedback..
