At an auto show, a car dealer asked the first 10 visitors their ages and the kinds of cars they own. The Venn diagram shows the details. Based on the diagram, which of the following represents the ages of car owners in the set (A ∩ B) ∪ (~A ∩ C) ?

a. {28, 29, 33, 47, 56} b. {28, 29, 32, 47, 56} c. {28, 29, 32, 33, 47, 56} d. {28, 29, 33, 37, 47, 56}

Do this in two parts... the first part is "A intersection B" (I don't know how to make the symbol...) So it's the elements of A that are also in B. There's only one... can you find it?

The second half of the expression means the intersection of everything that is NOT in set A with the stuff that is in set C. Again, it's just a matter of looking at the diagram and finding the elements that aren't in A and are in C.
