I'm confused. Please help. Two questions: Use the given property to complete the statement. Transitive Property of Congruence If line CD ≅ line EF and line EF ≅ line GH, then _______. o line EF ≅line GH o line EF ≅ line EF o line CD ≅ line GH o line CD ≅ line EF Substitution Property of Equality If y = 3 and 8x + y = 12, then _____________. Choices: o8(3) - y = 12 o3 - y = 12 o8x + 3 = 12 o8x - 3 = 12 I say it is 8x + 3 = 12. What do you think?

So, for question 1: Since CD is congruent to EF and EF is congruent to GH, that makes CD congruent to GH. Its the third choice. For question 2: Your correct, 8x + 3 = 12 (choice three, again), is your answer.
