The triangles are similar, and side BC corresponds to side EF.  The DEF triangle on the right is actually flipped upside down compared to the similar one ABC on the left ... the side AB corresponds to DE, and BC corresponds to EF..

so it's just a ratio of corresponding sides...

BC / EF = 24 / 6

And AB / DE = 20 / x

Because the triangles are similar, these two ratios should be the same... so...

24 / 6   =   20 / x

Then solve for x

okay, sorry its really lagging for me, so from there I know I cross multiply and then divide to get x = 5 so the answer would be B right
