Can someone explain how to solve an equation with different variables?
It depends on the number of system of equations
You treat all the variables as its own entity. 1XY+2X+4Y + 4XY + 4X=4 In this example, you can combine the coefficients (the number in front of the variable) of the ones that have the same variables. For example, you can combine the 1 and 4 of the two XY (1XY+4XY=5XY) but you can't comine 1XY and 2X because they are different variables.
Find like terms. :]
You can either use the substitution method, Elimination method, graphical method or even ideas in matrices will help too.
If it is only one equation with different variables, then just do change of subject
Math is one of the subjects that are easier to learn with examples and practice. Are you taking classes or just learning multi-variable algebra on your own?
