Determine the Amplitute, Period, Phase Shift of the graph function over 1 Period. Indicate the X-Intercepts and Coordinates of Highest and Lowest Points on the graph. Y = sin (3x + pi/2 ) ILL DRAW OUT WHAT I KNOW.

@nincompoop do you think you can help me understand this problem? My instructor worked it out in the class, but as I was writing it down and listening to her talk, she kept going on erasing and explaing and I became lost.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

period is good --> 2pi/3 the phase shift is actually not pi/2 though, the trick is to set the "inside" equal to 0 --> 3x+pi/2 = 0 --> x = -pi/6 this means the graph shift to left by pi/6 this is also a "x-intercept" since sin(0) = 0
