HELP!!! sythetic division!

OpenStudy (rayford):

4x^3-9x^2-7x/x-3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4x^3 - 9x^2 - 10

OpenStudy (rayford):

that's the answer?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yup

OpenStudy (rayford):

that's wrong :{

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? you wanted it solved, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait... i read it wrong, one sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor the numerator by finding the x that makes it 0, using your rational root theorem. then apply synthetic division. assuming you wrote that as a rational polynomial.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1349827727006:dw| Haven't seen synthetic division since I took differential equation

OpenStudy (rayford):

dude..it is..4,3,2,AND 0

OpenStudy (rayford):

but how do i right them with variables

OpenStudy (rayford):

nevermind that.. i have something else

OpenStudy (rayford):

i think you guys read it wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I was wrong, I was thinking long division. GIve me a sec and I'll draw it up.
