3/2(x-5)=-6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Simple, it is 1. X=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Can someone show me how t do the problem step by step?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3/2(x-5)=-6 (3/2)x-(3/2)(5)=-6 3/2x - 15/2 = -6 3/2x = -6 - 15/2 3/2x = -27/2 x = 2/3*-27/2 x=-9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok I will if you make me best response. The above Surdawi is incorrect, I assure you. Even Microsoft Calculator says so.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It goes like this. 3/2 = 1.5 1.5x - (1.5 x 5) 1.5x - 7.5 = -6 1.5x= -6 + -7.5 1.5x = 1.5 x = 1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Look, even microsoft calculator says it is 1. And seriously Surdawi I can't believe you got it incorrect, this is basic Year 4 math.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oops 3/2x = -6 + 15/2 3/2x = 3/2 x = 2/3*3/2 x=1 you are right i put - instead of a plus
