Determine an equation for f^-1 f(x)=((x-1)^3)=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need a little help walking through this, I am horrile at rearranging equations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

f^(-1) is derivative or f power -1

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Hmm, no im pretty sure that's the inverse operator :O

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need to find the inverse of f(x)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Why is there an =2? :D hmmmm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sory. that was supposed to be a +

zepdrix (zepdrix):

oh oh oh ^^ k

zepdrix (zepdrix):

Soooo step one, let f(x)=y Step 2, swap your y and x! :D Then solve for y. Need to see some of the algebra to get through it? :D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I did rearrange it that far. I need help with the solving for y part

OpenStudy (anonymous):

remember, opposite of cube root is the power of three cube root of x is x^3, for instance (inverse operator)

zepdrix (zepdrix):

|dw:1349847649056:dw| Ah yes, maybe that's the part yer getting stuck on? :)
