Can I do this course with my Raspberry Pi - what do i need to do to get it ready?

Hi This basically a little computer with a Linux system, is that right? Most Linux distros have Python included already, so maybe u are good to go? Probably you just type python in a terminal, something like that, I haven't used Linux in a while. I'm sure a Linux user will show up and clarify matters if this doesn't help at all.

Linux typically includes python with the distro, however if you don't have it by default you will want to check out : Python's website: http://www.python.org/download/releases/ Installation Tutorial for seeral distros: http://www.unixmen.com/howto-install-python-3-x-in-ubuntu-debian-fedora-centos/

Great! I guess those instructions will also work for 2.7.3 as well.

I have a Raspberry Pi too. You could do the programming on the pi but to do things like watch the MIT videos or do any really GUI things, you need more power.
